So you want to block some web pages from showing up in search engine results?
these pages could be anything from a contact us page to a login page, checkout
page, user list ect.. The way to stop these pages from being listed or
indexed is by adding a robots.txt file to your website. This file will
list which pages that are not to be visited by bots / crawlers such as Google's
Googlebot, you can even stop an individual search engine from visiting a page,
but allowing other search engines to access the page. The best Site's I have

A sitemap will help direct a search engine
such a Google to each web page on a website, and in turn help to speed up
page indexing and page ranking, thus allowing the website to show up in a
search engines results. There are many ways in which to to this, such as an
HTML, XML format, but for an easier and simple way of achieving this, create
a new page on your website, this page is to be a txt file. In this file
list all web pages (make sure not to have any headers or footers, just a
blank page with text, don't worry no one will be viewing this, just search
engines), for an example take a look at a basic sitemap created for this
site.

When you have done this simply follow
instructions through Google’s webmaster tools. When your sitemap is
registered Google will make all sorts of other vital performance information
available to you, again through Google's webmaster tools. See our
